Our Influence

Influence is a form of power based on the ability to persuade others to share in a desired objective. Our objectives are created in collaboration with nationals. LEAD, in its current role in Guinea-Bissau, is involved at the hands-on decision making level with people in private business, missionary efforts, medical institutions, and in community leader development.

Many of the things that LEAD influences require no funding or staff to manage. They are projects and endeavors that others are doing. LEAD helps them to create accountability structures and gives forethought to long term outcomes of current decisions. We have helped to define philosophies of missionary outreach to unreached people groups. We have reviewed business proposals from outside companies to cashew processors. LEAD has helped create budgets with people working for the court system, as well as inspiring churches to form their own non-profit organizations for economic development projects.

LEAD has hosted and led medical teams, provided exceptional research, been involved in food distribution, taught in churches, helped bring pastors together, counseled, created businesses, mentored young leaders, assisted other organizations, and been a voice of accountability and integrity.

While this aspect of our work cannot be quantified for it’s economic value, nor can the vast success be attributed to LEAD alone, the churches, businesses, medical clinics and individual people of Guinea-Bissau have received dynamic benefit from the influence of LEAD’s team.
